1 . product description:
? The sensing element includes a metal oxide semiconductor layer formed on an alumina substrate of the sensing chip together with an integrated heater.
In the presence of detectable gas, the conductivity of the sensor increases according to the concentration of gas in the air.
A simple circuit converts the conductivity change into an output signal that corresponds to the gas concentration.
The TGS 2600 is highly sensitive to the low concentrations of gaseous air pollutants (such as hydrogen and carbon monoxide) present in cigarette smoke.
The sensor can detect a few ppm of hydrogen.
Due to the miniaturization of the sensing chip, the TGS 2600 requires only 42mA of heater current in a standard TO-5 package.
