The board is programmed with the 16MHz Arduino promini bootloader and simply connects to the serial TX and RX pins with a 5V FTDI Basic Breakout. The wiki page and demo code will walk you through how to test and program. You can use Arduino IDE to program your code to 9DOF by simply selecting Arduino Pro ATmega328 as your motherboard. The output of all sensors is processed by the onboard ATmega328 and output through the serial interface. This allows the 9DOF ArduIMU to be used as a very powerful control mechanism for drones, autonomous vehicles and image stabilization systems.
