Eltra angular displacement encoder conversion using photoelectric scanning principle. The alternating light transmission window and window of the reading system are not rotated by the radial indexing disc (code wheel), but an infrared light source illuminates the image of the code wheel vertically onto the receiving surface.
The receiver covers a diffraction grating that has the same code wheel window width.
The job of the receiver is to sense the changes caused by the rotation of the disc and convert the light into a corresponding electrical change.
The low-level signal is then raised to a higher level and no disturbing square-wave pulses are generated which must be processed by the electronic circuit.
The reading system usually adopts the difference method, about the same, but the phase difference of two waveforms differs by 180 degrees, in order to improve the quality and stability of the output signal.
Reading is based on the difference between these two signals, eliminating interference.
