Advantech ADAM-4571 is a fast, cost-effective data gateway between the serial and Ethernet interfaces. It brings the benefits of remote management and data access to RS-232/422/485 devices. The unit delivers speeds up to 230 kbps to meet the demands of high-speed data exchange. In addition, you can use the Windows utilities to configure the ADAM-4571 without further programming. This unit not only protects your current hardware investment, but also ensures future network scalability. Because protocol conversion is transparent, all existing devices can be seamlessly integrated with Ethernet. The ADAM-4571 connects an existing Human Interface (HMI) PC and RS-232/422/485 devices via an Ethernet cable and comes with the Windows Configuration and Port Mapping Utility. The Configuration Tool automatically detects all Ethernet data gateway devices on your local network and lets you adjust all settings. The Port Mapping utility helps you set the COM port for your Windows NT / 2000 / XP platform.
