PWM Buck Mode 12V lead-acid battery charge management integrated circuit, which automatically manages the charge of lead-acid battery independently. It has the advantages of small package size, few peripheral components and simple use.

With turbulent, constant current, overcharge and floating charge modes, it is ideal for charging 12V lead-acid batteries. In the overcharge and float modes, the typical charge voltages are 14.8V and 13.55V, respectively; in constant current charge mode, the charge current is set by an external resistor. When powered by solar panels, the internal circuitry automatically tracks the maximum power point of the solar panel. The user does not need to consider the worst case and maximizes the output power of the solar panel, making it ideal for applications powered by solar panels. If the battery voltage is lower than 75% of the set overcharge voltage, the battery is trickle charged with 17.5% of the set constant current charging current. In the overcharge phase, the charging current is gradually decreased, and when the charging current is reduced to 38% of the constant current charging current, the floating state is entered. In the floating state, if the battery voltage drops to 83.95% of the set overcharge voltage, a new charge cycle is automatically started. When the input power is lost or the input voltage is lower than the battery voltage, it automatically enters a low-power sleep mode. Other features include input low voltage latching, battery overvoltage protection and charge status indication.
